Our Basic Program
Horses can become one of Timber's Companions and join his herd!
At Timber's Grateful Companions (TGC), our mission is to provide shelter and support to senior horses that suffer from neglect or abandonment, or horses whose owners can no longer care for them. A horse can be surrendered to Timber's Grateful Companions where all nutritional and veterinary needs will be provided on a private 25 acre farm in central Kentucky.
Criteria:
- All equines, excluding stallions, can be accepted including miniature horses, donkeys/burros, mules and horses.
- The equine must be at least 23 years old.
- Equines will be accepted on a case by case basis after discussing the situation with TGC.
To Surrender your Horse
If you are interested in surrendering your horse, please contact us for a surrender form which transfers ownership from the owner to Timber's Grateful Companions. In addition, each horse is required to have an up to date coggins certificate. While not required, it is helpful if the horse is up to date on vaccinations. Our Care
We provide the necessary veterinary care to each horse. This includes an entrance examination and assessment, along with a veterinary consult to determine a plan of care. The goal for each horse is to provide comfort, care and love.
