The mission of Timber's Grateful Companions is to :

1) Support the nutritional and veterinary needs of senior equines

2) Serve as an educational resource for owners of senior equines

Timber's Grateful Companions operates as a tax exempt 501 c3 charitable organization and provides a haven for senior horses.  Our EIN Number is 93-4364819.

We provide a home for senior equines who are surrendered to us by their owner. The 25 acre farm is located in Woodford County, KY.   We also provide educational services to owners of senior equines.   

1. We will take in any kind of equine including miniature horse, donkey/burro, mule and horse.  We do not accept stallions.

2. The equine must be at least 23 years of age.

3. Each equine must have a current negative coggins certificate.

4. It is very helpful if the equine is up to date on its vaccinations.

Give us a call at 360-775-5690 or email us at director@timbersgc.org to discuss your situation and need.  When surrendering a horse, the owner will be provided with a surrender form which transfers all ownership to Timber's Grateful Companions.

When the horse arrives, a licensed veterinarian will do an exam, and assist in creating a care plan.

No, but a donation is gratefully accepted to help us defray costs associated with intake.  We suggest anywhere from $100-$700.

Yes!  We can always use fly spray, hay, grain, hoof and joint supplements, vet wrap, buckets (feed and water), and spare tank heaters.  A gift certificate to a feed or tack store is always handy too!
